My dogs are my family. While it is a wonderful endorsement to win in the Ring, especially under a judge who knows my breed and whose opinion I value, it is, nevertheless a very small part of a dog's life.

Even better, is having a call from a person who has had one of my dogs that has lived to a ripe old age and passed on, wanting to know if I have another Norwich for them to love.

I am, of course, very proud of my success in the Show Ring and below are some of the highlights from our Show seasons...both here in New Zealand and in Australia...

2012

After a lovely long break from the beginning of December 2011 until mid February 2012, we are back in the ring. It's been exciting to get to know 'Rumble' and to be bringing on the puppies that were born back in September, most of whom have gone, or are about to go to their wonderful new homes.

My first show of the Year was Gore and Districts KA weekend. It was here that Cruze had his first show as a Baby Puppy, two years ago and was Baby Puppy in Show. Time has flown. This year, his daughter had her first outing and was Baby of Breed. Cruze himself continued in his winning way, taking Intermediate of Group both days.

2011

My handsome Cruze dominates the show ring awards, but Nettle "CH A Diamond in the Ruff at Kaeva" also achieved her CH title this year as she has quietly developed from a 'gangly little thing' into a lovely, balanced bitch. CH Kaeva Sally the Bee had several NZBred in Groups awards to her credit and has gone on to produce a very lovely litter of puppies. Thank you to the judges who have recognised the breed type and quality of my dogs....I am very proud of all my 'kids'....

November

 After a 'winter break' from the busy summer, showing and then my travel to the UK, Cruze and I returned to the ring in November, with wonderful success at Southland Kennel Association All Breed Championship Shows

Wonderful news arrived from Australia as

AUST NEUTER CH KAEVA SUPERMINX AT HAYWOOD (IMP NZ)

'GYPSY'

This lovely wheaten became the first dog in Australia to be awarded the title of 'Neuter CH'. Campaigned and loved by Chloe Fidler in the Northern Territory, Gypsy and Chloe (below) are quite a team, including a Best Neuter in Show win to their credit.

 APRIL

No sooner home from the UK and Cruze and I travelled north to attend the NZ National Dog Show. Cruze was highly awarded by European FCI judge Mr Norman Deschymere, from Belgium who gave Cruze Best of Breed, CC and Best Junior Terrier.
